Bastille Day and the parade

The tourist girls all wanted to have their photos taken with the soldiers.
We went to the Trocadero to watch the fireworks. I do not suggest doing this. There were many thousands there. It reminded me very much of Times Square on New Years Eve.
The Eiffel Tower the next morning
Our friend Dick Gildersleeve suggested that we visit Rue Cler near the Eiffel Tower. It is a walking street of gourmet shop. Dick recommended that we visit the cheese store. It was well worth the trip. The aroma of cheese was wonderful.

The owner was upset that I was taking photos of the pastry, so I had to purchase one. There goes the diet. Cynthia and I shared it.
