We drove about 15 miles down the lake from Annecy. We spotted an area where there were people parachuting.

Then we drove to the top of the mountain where the parachuting starts. They unfold the parachute, and they run down the side of the mountain until they start to fly.

Near the parachuting we had lunch on the lake in town of Talloires at a restaurant Cynthia visited 48 years ago when she graduated from college and was driving around Europe with two other girls.

Since then the restaurant has gone ''high end''

Annecy, a lake side village in France about 50 miles south of Geneva, Switzerland at the edge of the French Alps.

We are in the town of Dijon. It is famous for mustard and this is one the mustard shops.

Fontenay Monastery. It was built in the 11th century

Fontenay Monastery has a foundry where metal was forged. The waterwheel outside turned the long item in the photos that had a gear on it which operated a large hammer.
